Zegato Solutions has a rich legacy of harnessing Information Technology with the mission goals and objectives of the federal government market place. This legacy began in 1988 with the department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and continues today with GSA and the department of Veterans Affairs (VA). In 1988 Zegato Solutions was contracted to develop a mainframe based travel management system for HHS. The system was delivered on schedule and within budget. Following delivery and implementation, we provided sustainment and operations for the system thru 2003.
We leveraged our knowledge and experience of Federal travel management and developed our proprietary client server travel management system, PerDiemAzing (PDA) in 1995. PDA was licensed for implementation, operation and maintenance by VA Central Office (VACO) and Austin Finance Center, the Defense Logistics Agency, Defense Information System Agency, Hill, Dover and Peterson Air Force Bases. The implementation and deployment of PDA included totally re-engineering paper-based travel processes for some Offices and converting other Offices that used other automated travel management systems.
In 2003, Zegato was the successful vendor to implement an enterprise "end-to-end" travel system for VA. Zegato.com initiated the era of full service web-based travel by a federal Agency. Travelers controlled the creation of travel authorizations, booked airline, hotel and rental car inventory, performed electronic approval and interfaced with the core financial system (CGI-AMS Federal Financial System), within the constructs of the FTR and JFMIP guidelines. The International Trade Commission and USMS followed in 2004 with an enterprise implementation of Zegato.com.
By 2004, Zegato teamed with HP, via a licensed copy of Zegato.com to successfully sell FedTraveler.com, the GSA E-Gov Travel Management System, to multiple large federal agencies, including DHS, VA, Commerce, HUD, NASA, Securities and Exchange Commission, ITC and PBGC. The enterprise solution was implemented throughout these agencies by 2006 for a period of 10 years.
Today, Zegato engineers are responsible for requirements definition, design, development, testing and documentation for VA systems such as the Integrated Funds Distribution Control Point Activity, Accounting and Procurement (IFCAP) and Automated Engineering Management System/Medical Equipment Reporting System (AEMS-MERS). Our engineers follow the full rigor of configuration management and software release management to deploy software enhancements and updates in a well communicated and methodical manner.
Zegato Solutions continues to provide our Commercial of the Shelf Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) federal compliant Travel Management System to the market. Our Services Oriented Architecture COTS is delivered as a full SaaS offering via firm fixed price transactions or licensed software to execute on your infrastructure and under your management.
